Rush Lake Trek is a gentle introduction to the Karakoram Range for first-timers. However, Rush Lake, at an elevation of over 4,700 meters, is one of the world’s highest alpine lakes. During the trek, you will be treated to stunning views of the Nagar and Hunza Valley peaks.

Day 1 Receive guests

Airport transfer

From the airport, our guide(s) will receive you. You’ll be moved to the booked hotel shortly. Our guests may relax and recover from their long journey on this day.

Pick-up Details:

One of our guides will be holding a sign with both our company’s logo and your name on it. International flights normally arrive at midnight so at that time the Islamabad airport gets crowd-less. Our guide can easily locate you and guide you further.
Kindly let us know in advance, in case you do not need any airport transfers.

Day 2Gilgit

Flight to Gilgit (1 hour)
Receive guests at Gilgit Airport
Afternoon visit to KargahBuddastupa
Overnight stay at Gilgit Serena Hotel

In case of Flight cancellation:
Road trip to Gilgit.

Day 3Hunza Valley

Departure for Hunza Valley.
Stopover at Rakaposhi Viewpoint.
Stopovers on our way for excursion and sightseeing.
Check in at Hunza Darbar Hotel.
Evening free to explore the tourist street Karimabad.
Overnight stay at Hunza Darbar Hotel

Day 4Hoper Valley

Drive to Hoper valley (2 hrs)
Trek further to Baricho Kor (5-6hrs).
Camping at Baricho Kor

Day 5Trek to Chidin Harai

Trek uphill to Chidin Harai (2-3 hrs)
Another slight uphill to Rush lake campsite (2 hrs)
Overnight Rush lake

Day 6Rush Lake

Free day at Rush lake and day hike to Rush peak.
Ample time for those who wish to climb Rush Peak. You can view from the top K2, Broad Peak, Gasherbrum, and Baintha Brak if the weather is clear.
Overnight in camps

Day 7Descend from Rush Lake

Downhill walk to Phai Phari campsite. From this point, you can see the mighty glaciers including Golden Peak(Spantik), Miar Glacier, and Diran Peak.

Day 8Hunza Valley

Trek to Hoper Valley. Option immersion to Hoper Valley
Hoper is a beautiful valley in Nagar District.
Drive to Hunza.
Check-in at the hotel.
Overnight stay in Hunza

Day 9Fly to Islamabad

Departure to Gilgit in the morning
Take flight for Islamabad
Airport transfer to Hotel
Free time to relax after a long journey
Farewell dinner at Monal
Overnight stay in Islamabad

Day 10Drop Off

Drop off the guests at Islamabad International airport.
Fly to the next destination.
